The Stay Calm Project is led by doctoral research co coordinator Justin Chung under the supervision of Dr Kate Woodcock, Centre for Applied Psychology, University of Birmingham.

Who?

Parents or caregivers of individuals between the ages of 6 and 25, who have emotional outbursts at least once a month.

What?

This project aims to develop and evaluate an informant-report questionnaire, which will be used to assess the characteristics of emotional outbursts in detail. We want to gather a large number of anonymous responses to ensure that the questionnaire is designed correctly, and is accurately measuring emotional outburst characteristics.

Why?

This questionnaire will be a valuable tool for researchers and clinicians in future. It will allow important information to be obtained quickly, which will contribute to our understanding of the cognitive and emotional underpinnings of emotional outbursts and be particularly useful when developing new treatment strategies.

How?
